On October 17th at the Fine Arts Theatre Beverly Hills, Molly Santana held a special event for her exclusive director’s cut showing of her short film titled Molly and Her Week of Wonders. Associated with her album released on the same day, Molly and Her Week of Wonders (Deluxe), it covered topics such as self-expression and exploration of identity.

Molly felt it was necessary to utilize another medium to provide her audience with a refined perspective of her story. As a result, the short film features inspiration from Valerie and Her Week of Wonders, a 1970s movie with a protagonist conquering the challenges of womanhood.

As the creative director, Molly utilized film rolls from the 1980s to maintain a retro style and to ensure each idea was followed through with intent, since the film was not reusable.

Following the short film showing, there was a panel discussion that allowed the audience to gain a deeper understanding of the creative process regarding the development of the project.

When asked about her vision for the short film and the overall message, Molly shared that she wanted people to draw inspiration from it and execute their creative ideas when they become available, rather than waiting for the right time. She proceeded to note the importance of holding oneself accountable for creating projects rather than being limited to consuming on a daily basis.

There were more than one hundred guests in attendance at the event. Special guests such as Emwell from the popular online series Well Well Well on Our Generation Music, social media influencer 42CEO, and recording artist Skaiwater made an appearance.

Following the conclusion of the event, attendees had the opportunity to get photos with Molly and have their personal items autographed, adding more value to an already memorable night for her fans.
