Recording artist Lil Tecca continued The Dopamine Experience Tour at The Novo, located in Downtown Los Angeles, to celebrate his newest full-length project Dopamine for a sold-out crowd on Sunday.
Hours before Lil Tecca made his way onto the stage, fans found creative ways to fill the spare time. From crowd surfing to mimicking popular dances on TikTok, the energy the audience prepared to bring Lil Tecca was extremely noticeable. With the help of the opening performances by ffawty and Hardrock, including a guest appearance by 03 Greedo, fans were welcomed effectively, setting the stage for Lil Tecca to make a strong statement.
Lil Tecca started his performance with “On Your Own” after an introduction warning viewers of sensory overload. It was essential that night for fans to prepare themselves for the rush that Lil Tecca’s set was soon to give. As the night progressed, so did the intensity of the crowd. Many fans took the risk of hopping over gates to make their way into the pits — some successful, others not. With a sold-out venue holding more than a thousand attendees, it was bound to happen. Songs like “Tic Tac Toe (feat. Ken Carson)” and “I Can’t Let It Go (feat. Don Toliver)” amplified the intensity before he introduced the fan favorites “OWA OWA” and “Ransom.”
To finish the night, Lil Tecca performed “500lbs,” one of Tecca’s chart toppers. But fans were not ready to leave… Before heading out, fans started a demanding chant for one more song from the New York Rapper. Minutes later, Tecca returned for a swift encore, performing “500lbs” for a second time, this time with an even crazier crowd than before.
Lil Tecca will continue The Dopamine Experience Tour in California by making a stop in San Diego, then going up north to perform in San Francisco. Dopamine by Lil Tecca can be found on all streaming platforms and is also available for purchase via his website.
